Hello there, my name is Madeline Murphy. You can call me Maddie.
The short answer to, ‘What do you do?’ is, “I take photos. I write.” I’ve been on this path for a long time though. From making mini home movies on my dad’s camcorder, to sun drenched afternoons on the porch painting with my mom, I’ve always been drawn to the freedom of art in all forms.
Nowadays, my style is constantly changing. As I grow up and face new chapters, I can always look to my past work to show me where I come from and where I’m going. My love for capturing someone’s spirit through a lens or articulating a moment on paper is forever.
I’m currently majoring in Journalism with a minor in Women’s Studies at my dream school, The University of Florida. When I’m not in the swamp, I’m cherishing time with family, traveling and exploring this planet, and documenting it the best I can.
